Eosinophilic Esophagitis...

Dr. Williams called this morning with the biopsy results. Nathan's vomiting can finally be expained in two words: Eosinophilic Esophagitis. I am so relieved to have an answer, but so nervous at the same time. There is a lot of learning Mark and I need to do so that we can help Nathan in the best way possible. We are thankful for the quick diagnosis, as we know many struggle for years with this disease without any answers. I can only imagine how frustrating and frightening that must be. Dr. Williams started Nathan on 1mg Pulmicort mixed with 5 packets of Splenda twice a day to help heal his esophagus and reduce the inflammation. When Nathan sees the spoon with his medicine on it his eyes light, up. Another indicator of how much he misses eating I assume.
